The Squadron’s most epic yacht race returns in 2026. This 500 nautical mile challenge starts in Auckland in front of the RNZYS, storms past Cape Reinga and rounds the majestic Three Kings Islands before returning back home. It’s a test of skill, strategy and seaworthiness – a genuine ocean racing experience. With options for fully crewed and two handed, this Category 2 race is open to members of any yacht club and serves as a great qualifier for races such as Round New Caledonia and Sydney Hobart.
