Get ready for fast, competitive one-design racing on the Waitematā with the City of Sails Sprints. Bringing together five of Auckland’s leading keelboat fleets for a summer of short-format racing.

The Elliott 7s, Etchells, MRXs, Stewart 34s and Young 88s will come together across Tuesday and Thursday evenings from September through to April, with racing hosted collaboratively by Northcote Birkenhead Yacht Club (NCB), Ponsonby Cruising Club (PCC), and the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS).

Designed to deliver plenty of action in a compact evening format, each race night will feature short windward-leeward races with close, fast-paced racing from start to finish. Racing will take place to the east or west of the Auckland Harbour Bridge, making the most of the conditions each evening.

By bringing Auckland’s fleets and clubs together, the City of Sails Sprints delivers a coordinated summer of quality one-design racing.
