INTERNATIONAL SAILING FUND
supporting members reach their goals

About the Fund

Our International Sailing Fund (ISF) was established in 1980, with the aim of assisting our members to participate at the highest level of international sailing and help maintain our prestigious sailing history.

The ISF receives its endowment from a levy from annual membership subscriptions, as well as the proceeds from the annual Corporate Regatta. Sailing teams can apply to the fund to help meet some of the costs incurred by competing in these regattas, like entry fees and travel expenses.

Who we help

The ISF has helped RNZYS sailors across many event formats on the world stage, from Olympic Classes, The Extreme Sailing Series and Men’s and Women’s International Match Racing – to Offshore Races like the Fastnet, 6-meter worlds, fleet racing regattas and the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup.

The ISF also supports race officials to attend events and gain international officiating experience in roles such as Race Management and Umpiring. This provides valuable opportunities for our officials to develop their skills and expertise, while ensuring the Squadron maintains a highly trained network of officials capable of delivering events to an international standard.
