RNZYS Indemnity & Media Release Form

By signing this agreement, I acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions in relation to my participation in the sailing experience provided by the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS) and its direct delivery partners (collectively referred to as "the Organisers"):

Assumption of Risk

I understand that participating in a sailing activity involves inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, drowning, exposure to weather elements, equipment failure, and accidents. I voluntarily accept and assume all risks associated with my participation.

Release of Liability

I hereby release, waive, and discharge the Organisers — RNZYS and its direct delivery partners — and their employees, contractors, volunteers, skippers, officers, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, actions, or liabilities for any personal injury, illness, property damage, or death that may result from my participation in the sailing experience, whether arising from negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Medical Conditions

I confirm that I am in good health and physically fit to participate. I have disclosed any relevant medical conditions that may affect my ability to safely participate in this activity.

Safety Compliance

I agree to follow all instructions and safety procedures provided by the Organisers, including wearing a lifejacket and other safety equipment as directed.

Marketing & Media Consent

By signing this form, I consent to RNZYS and its direct delivery partners:

• Collecting and using my contact information (including name, phone number, and email address) for the purpose of:
  • Sending follow-up communications about the sailing experience
  • Providing information about future sailing events, promotions, courses, or training opportunities
  • Sharing newsletters or updates related to RNZYS activities
• Capturing and using photographs, video footage, or other media of me taken during the sailing experience for promotional, marketing, and educational purposes. This may include use in print materials, websites, social media, and other digital platforms.

I understand that I may opt out or unsubscribe from communications at any time by contacting RNZYS or using the unsubscribe function in email communications. If I do not wish to be photographed or filmed, I will notify the Organisers prior to the activity.
