This season, the Commodore’s Cup will follow a new format: all boats will start together and sail the same course (see Version 2 of Addendum C). In addition to the usual divisional prizes, these changes will enable an overall result for the series, with the top finisher receiving the Commodore’s Cup.
The Handicap Committee will use this format to create a unified database for all boats, similar to RaceTrack. Starting handicaps will be based on RaceTrack data and adjusted throughout the series using TopYacht software.
Please note, handicaps may look different from your usual numbers due to the larger fleet data. The first race is the Round Rangitoto, and with competitors choosing either direction around the island, results may show wide variations in corrected times based on route.
